1. Summary
AI Job Finder uses AI to surface job listings based on the keywords and profile details you optionally provide. We keep data minimal, store most of it on your device, and never sell your personal information.
2. Data We Collect
- Search input: job titles/keywords you type, locations, and excluded sources you choose.
- Profile (optional): gender, birth year, education, experience summary, total experience years, and expected salary to personalize results. Stored on-device.
- Usage data: recent searches, job history you opened, favorites, and theme preference saved locally.
- Device & diagnostics: basic device/OS and ad performance signals from Unity Ads on Android to control ad frequency.
- Approximate location: city derived from IP (via ipapi.co) to pre-fill location; no GPS is requested.
3. How We Use Data
- Run AI job searches with Groq to return relevant listings and avoid duplicates.
- Pre-fill your last search/location and tailor suggestions using your profile context.
- Maintain your history and favorites so you can revisit listings.
- Improve stability (caching, retrying) and measure ad delivery frequency.
4. Storage & Retention
- On device: profile, last searches, history, favorites, theme, and cached jobs are stored in SharedPreferences. Clear them in-app or by removing app data/uninstalling.
- To AI provider: search keywords, location, excludes, and profile context are sent to Groq for processing; we do not run our own persistent backend for this data.
- Ads: Unity Ads handles its own retention for ad-serving data per their policies.
5. Data Sharing
- Groq API: processes your job search request and profile context to fetch listings.
- ipapi.co: receives your IP to return approximate city for default location.
- Unity Ads: shows ads on Android and receives advertising identifiers, device info, and coarse location signals.
- No data is sold; we do not use third-party analytics.
6. App Permissions
- Internet: required to fetch job results, AI processing, and ads.
- Location: not requested; only IP-based lookup is used.
- No access to your photos, contacts, microphone, or files.
7. Security
Requests to Groq, ipapi, and ad services use HTTPS. Data stored on your device relies on your OS security; avoid sharing your device and clear app data if you want everything removed.
8. Children
AI Job Finder is intended for individuals seeking employment and is not directed to children under 16.
